The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the USC Trojans were both victorious this past weekend. Why would we get right into either team’s winning ways, when we could start the pod by talking about the movie Rudy and Greg’s unexpected thoughts on Rudy and his dad’s relationship. When we finally get to football and Notre Dame’s victory over FCS Tennessee State, there isn’t really much to talk about. The Fighting Irish were the superior team and showed it throughout the game. Greg was never worried. Now, this wouldn’t be a college football podcast if we didn’t mention Colorado and Coach Prime. Though the Buffs looked good last week, neither Michael nor Greg would swap Colorado’s skill players for Notre Dame’s. We then move on to another blowout, The USC victory over Nevada. Caleb Williams looked like his usual amazing self, even if Greg informed Michael the talking heads are starting to take their shots at the reigning Heisman winner. We also get an update on the Raleek Brown situation from last week. Coming up, it’s more of the same next week for Notre Dame and the Trojans, who both should win their week 2 matchups.
