Podcast: Untitled Notre Dame USC Football Podcast – Episode 6.10 Notre Dame Beats Clemson
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat the number one ranked Clemson Tigers this weekend. This is the biggest win in more than twenty years for the Fighting Irish. We go through the entire rollercoaster of the game and all of the up and down emotions throughout the contest. This was a classic game that was played on the razor’s edge and will define many if the player’s Notre Dame careers. There were stars and big plays all over the field, but the guy who got it done was Ian Book. Congrats to Greg and Notre Dame on the big win.
We also get to talk about USC’s 9am season opener against Arizona State. It was business as usual for the Clay Helton era Trojans. And by that we mean inconsistency, penalties, and hoping USC’s better players outperform inferior competition. Since this is the first game of the season everything should be taken with a grain of salt, but rallying to beat ASU in the final minutes is not the same as beating Clemson in overtime.
