Podcast: Untitled Notre Dame USC Football Podcast – Episode 5.21 Notre Dame USC 2005
Since everyone is staying safe at home and may have a little more free time on their hands, we decided to revisit some old USC Trojan and Notre Dame Fighting Irish rivalry games. USC and Notre Dame may be the greatest intersectional rivalry in all of college football, but in the recent past there have not been that many memorable games…except 2005. In 2005 the Trojans were the defending national champions ranked #1 in the country and Notre Dame was up and coming with new coach Charlie Weis ranked 9th nationally. This game was full of stars headlined by Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn. On the podcast we go over the biggest plays, name players we forgot about and hated, talked about what hasn’t changed for USC and Notre Dame, breakdown the broadcast and name an MVP. This podcast was a fun trip down memory lane, enjoy.
