The regular season may be over but we are back. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the USC Trojans locked in some recruits in the early signing period and are getting ready for their respective bowl games. We start with the Trojans who are a disaster on the recruiting circuit. Retaining coach Clay Helton did nothing to help recruiting and fans are not happy. Hopefully this coaching stability can help the Trojans in their bowl game against Iowa. On the other hand, Notre Dame signed a very impressive recruiting class from all over the nation. This solid recruiting class was achieved in spite of departure of Fighting Irish offensive coordinator Chip Long. As Notre Dame heads into their bowl game with Iowa State it is unclear who will be calling plays, and it could be former Fighting Irish quarterback Tommy Rees.
