Rivalry week is in the books, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated the USC Trojans for the third consecutive year.  Before we discuss the action on the field, we discuss trying to watch the big game with kids in the house. As for the game, things started off very rocky for the Trojans with the Irish jumping out to a big halftime lead, but USC was able to make things interesting forcing Notre Dame to hang on for the win. All of the Trojans’ recent problems raised their head in this defeat, while the strong Irish defense was able to contain USC for most the night. In addition to the teams playing on the field the PAC-12 referees made sure everyone noticed them with inconsistent officiating.
