On an action episode of the podcast we have an eye witness account of Notre Dame’s victory over Navy, the first college football playoff rankings and the aftermath of USC’s loss to Arizona State. We start things off with Greg’s live account of the Fighting Irish’s trip to San Diego to take on the Midshipmen. Ian Book looked great, the offense was rolling and the Notre Dame fans traveled well. After talking about the lopsided victory, we get into the first college football playoff rankings, which have the Irish ranked 4th. The jubilation of Notre Dame fans is in stark contrast to USC supporters. The Trojans lost another game to a PAC 12 south opponent and any chance of a meaningful season is just about out the window. After the loss the Trojans shook up their play calling and fired a coach. Too little too late.
