The season is winding down and it’s more of the same for Notre Dame and USC. We start with our focus on the college football playoff ranking committee then quickly move to Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish lost again, this time to Virginia Tech. The script was exactly the same for the Irish, jump out to an early lead then squander it as the game progressed. On the other hand the Trojans continued their winning ways with a big victory over cross town rival UCLA. USC overcame choppy start and rode another solid game by redshirt freshman quarterback Sam Darnold to secure the win.
